A site evaluation applicaton must be completed and $150.00 fee paid. If there is not an existing line, measurements will be taken and a cost estimate will be provided to you for extending the water line services to your property. This cost estimate along with your service application will need to be authorized by you and forwarded to our office with the appropriate fees; membership fee, installation fee, capital recovery fee and cost estimate fee, prior to the commencement of work to install the new meter. At this time, an estimated installation date will be provided to you.
4. Once the meter installation is complete, any additional construction charges will be billed and collected.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations require an inspection of the water meter once it has been installed to ensure that proper practices have been followed.
The amount of time required to establish new service is dependent on many factors. Once you have paid the appropriate fees and your application has been processed, we will provide you with a time frame for the new installation of service. The reason for this variation can be contributed to many things, for example, if a new meter is to be set in a rural area, road or other construction may be required, and therefore, a specific interval would have to be established accordingly.
Shorter, more standard time frames are available for new service within an urban area or at a residence or place of business where the meter is already set. These time frames will be provided to you at the time of your application.
A membership deposit in the amount of $100.00 is collected at the time of your application for new service. The membership deposit is held by Manville Water Supply Corporation until the property is sold.
